| MillenniuM provides services to orchestrate and facilitate systems
and processes for regulatory compliance, oversight, and risk management. We have
notably provided these services for the FAA on a number of projects directly related to
aviation safety. Each of the efforts listed below integrates data, information,
regulatory requirements, and ongoing analysis to support proactive efforts. ATOS
- Air Transportation Oversight System
MillenniuM provides the FAA with support in the design, implementation, and utilization of
a proactive approach to oversight using System Safety and Risk Management practices with
ATOS.
ATOS is a lifecycle system deployment and operation effort that is combined with business
process re-engineering efforts to change how the FAA conducts safety oversight of our
nations air carriers. MillenniuM has designed and implemented ATOS to help FAA
target their Inspector resources to areas that represent the greatest safety risk at a
specific carrier or across the aviation industry. ATOS provides FAA inspectors with the
capability to dynamically retarget efforts to meet changes to circumstances and
environmental factors that warrant closer attention.
ATOS is designed to help the FAA manage its oversight consistently across carriers with an
approach that helps discover root problems and provide the perspective to affect
corrective actions at a systemic level. This approach helps the FAA achieve the greatest
levels of effectiveness in ensuring safety for the flying public.
AEGIS2 - Aviation Enterprise Global Information Safety System
AEGIS2 integrates and aggregates Safety data and information from systems like OPSS and ATOS to build a composite picture of aviation safety. This perspective provides a complete picture of the state of safety at any given time, along with the supporting details to take definitive action if needed. AEGIS2 brings together information in a command and control format to support quick decision making, while providing access to the source data for in-depth analysis all within a consistent and unified framework. The span of AEGIS2 covers the range of FAA’s information from findings of single inspector’s inspection, to changes in carrier operating characteristics.
AEGIS2 looks at not only the data that is being collected, but how that data is collected and how the collected data relates across multiple air carriers. This insight assists with identifying possible changes to the state of aviation safety that may require either increased air carrier surveillance or national level remediation activities. This same information provides insight as to the effectiveness of programs like ATOS and possible areas for review and improvement or identifies areas requiring more specific focused attention. AEGIS2 also compares data between systems like ATOS and OPSS by looking at similar areas to highlight discrepancies that need to be further investigated and validated. This comparative capability is important to root cause analysis and identifying the most effective corrective actions. AEGIS2 also associates and relates actual experiences with plan identified risk areas and identifies deviations or variances across all targeted activities.
With AEGIS2, FAA Flight Standards Managers posses the ability to track the findings of their various systems as well as the performance of their systems and target corrective actions for internal improvement or oversight/enforcement action at the national or field office perspective.
CMS - Collaborative Management System
CMS provides a structured framework for communication, collaboration and coordination
between managers and directors to support effectiveness and consistency of projects and
programs across the FAAs Flight Standards Division. CMS gives managers the ability to
effectively distribute data and information and focus efforts towards strategic results at
their finger tips.
CMS provides the structure to make meetings more effective with follow-through and
accountability. CMS provides connectivity for managers across the country--while in their
offices or on travel--to communicate, access data, keep focus and coordination whenever
and wherever they may be.
GLANCE Global Aviation Network Collaboration Environment
GLANCE is an integrated suite of tools that facilitate collaboration, knowledge
management, information management and reporting for a globally distributed workforce.
GLANCE provides a secure, web-based intranet system of management and work tools to
support on-going efforts of the FAA International Community. GLANCE fosters communication,
collaboration, and coordination horizontally and vertically among people and offices
across the globe.
GLANCE provides a framework for AIA to leverage their intellectual capital. Data collected
becomes intellectual capital for the organization when it is leveraged elsewhere in the
organization as data or information. The GLANCE infrastructure makes the connections and
facilitates the creation of intellectual capital by transforming data into readily
available information without users having to dig through automation for it.
